Two days of Couch to 5k: down. I'm way more sore than I should be. The time on the treadmill is nice, though; especially during the early days of this running program. I'm walking more than I'm running, which allows some time to read a book. Okay, so maybe my walking portion isn't as strenuous as it could be, but I don't care. It provides the quiet, alone time I require to read.
My book of choice these days? 7: An Experimental Mutiny Against Excess by Jen Hatmaker. (yes, I did just google "how to write a book title". I totally was about to put the title in quotes.) I want everyone to read this book, and I'm only on page 77. It is coming through loud and clear to me. I read this today, which really hit me over the head:
"We cannot carry the gospel to the poor and lowly while emulating the practices of the rich and powerful."
I'm now reading the chapter on Possessions, and it's making me want to throw up. In a good way?
Also, I recently finished the book One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are by Ann Voskamp. Awesome. I want to re-read it yesterday.
