I used to listen to this radio station on the way to work. I was happy to have discovered such an entertaining morning show for my long commute. One of the funniest segments they do is the phone tap. A listener emails the station with a prank they’ve come up with to play on a relative, friend, co-worker, etc. Then one of the DJs calls the relative, for example, and pretends to be someone else. . .maybe a policeman, a teacher at their kid’s school, a neighbor. . .and carries out the prank. The entire premise of the call is to get the targeted person riled up. The original person who wanted to play the prank will usually get in on the phone call as well. The DJs stop at NOTHING to get the target infuriated. It often pushes the envelope, but I usually laughed out loud at the conversations.
About a month ago, I began to feel convicted about listening to the station. . .not because of the music, but the conversation content – and the phone taps. So I don’t listen anymore, but I’m borrowing they’re terminology. On Wednesdays the station re-plays old phone taps – from years ago, usually. They call it Way-Back Wednesday.
So I decided to have a little fun and share an old photo each Wednesday. At the least it will ensure that I post regularly!
So for the first Way-Back Wednesday:
I think this might have been an actual bowl cut!!!
