Week 18

Thought I'd start providing some updates and pictures (copying Michelle's idea here). Nothing to see yet, but I've got to start somewhere!

  • waiting...waiting...waiting to see a bump
  • ordered some maternity clothes online - great sale at Old Navy
  • wondering when I'll actually need maternity clothes
  • fighting a cold
  • hoping to feel flutters soon
  • still scared I'm going to miscarry again
  • sleeping A LOT
  • eating A TON
  • wondering if I'll have any cravings
  • trying to distract myself until the next dr. appt.
  • noticed my nails are growing quite quickly
  • wondering if it will be a boy or girl
  • trying to get Michael fully on board with me about not finding out the gender
  • so happy to hear a heartbeat (of 150 beats/minute!)

I miss them

My dad's birthday party weekend is going on right now. Wish I was there to dress up in a sparkly dress and wig with them!

Snow Day

It's been crazy blizzardy weather here the last couple days! So bad that three different flights I had down to Florida were all cancelled. UGH. I have some work down there for a few days. At this point I think I'm finally getting out tomorrow at 6am.

We got to have some fun in the snow last night. It was soooo pretty - we haven't had a snowstorm like this in years. So we took advantage.

Hello cars: took us about 45 minutes to dig these beauties out:

VIP

I'd heard about this particular person just over 3 months ago. And since then I have been wanting to meet them. To be honest, I don't know them very well, but I can't stop thinking about this lovely person! Depending on what their schedule is like, I'll get to meet them probably in July or August. What I do know about this person is that:

1. They're very cool.

2. They're quite stubborn.

3. They like to dance.

4. They're around 3 inches long.

5. And the cutest thing I've ever seen.

2010

It's a new year. Yay. I'm not getting a huge kick out of it. Didn't even stay up till midnight on January 1. Went to bed at 10:30 - we counted down then. Hence, I have no pictures to share.

Last year we (Michael and me) prepared some goals for the year. We actually accomplished quite a few of them. Michael just informed me that we're going to be discussing this for 2010 later this week. In the meantime, I've thought of a couple things I want to do this year... 1. Try again with Project 365 (a picture everyday). 2. Scrapbook more often - I already have finished one page this year! 3. Spend less wasted time on the computer.

That's about all I've got so far. And 2/3 of my goals have no deadline and are not measurable. Eh. We'll see what happens. I'm just counting on this year being much better than last.

Celebrate Me Home

Home for the holidays
I believe I’ve missed each and every face
Come on and play my music
Let’s turn on the love light in the place
It’s time I found myself totally surrounded in your circles
Oh, my friends

Please, celebrate me home
Give me a number
Please, celebrate me home
Play me one more song that I’ll always remember
That I can recall whenever I find myself too all alone
I can sing me home.

My Crazy Family

This is our attempt at a Christmas picture. I set the camera on automatic, and it didn't stop at one picture, it took a string of them. I think the two funniest things, besides Sparky jumping down, are my dad and Michael in the back as the pictures progress, and Jesse not moving a muscle through the whole series.
