So, now that the Ashman's room is finished (finally!), I thought I'd take you on a little tour. We'll start with the door. After years of making door signs for my friends' babies, it was my turn at last!
A sweet little door hanging from my friend Theresa.
Changing table. Given to us from a co-worker.
Notice the cloth diaper paraphernalia on the second shelf!
Our beautiful crib - a gift from my parents. Notice the bedskirt. Homemade. :)
Above the crib hang several pictures we had taken when Asher was 1 month.
Some shelving in the corner, with my favorite toy when I was a baby sitting on top. Sandy's her name - you can probably tell she's a little worn.
Little cubbie storage for books and toys and safety supplies, blankets, etc.
Here's a close up of the vase on top of the cubbies. It was a gift from a friend in college, and I'm so glad I kept it, because it matches the room perfectly. In it I decided to tuck some keepsakes from the hospital. Including Asher's little booties and hat, and our wrist/ankle bands.
In another corner hangs a mural I painted on canvases, along with a wooden cloud painting we picked up at our favorite Farmer's Market.
A matching dresser to our crib, given to us by Michael's parents. Among the items on top is a baby book I made for Asher, and a cute little Asher train, a gift from Debbie.
And here is the absolute, hands down BEST part of the nursery.
