When you write you lay out a line of words . . .the line of words is a hammer . . .the line of words feels for cracks in the firmament
. . .the line of words fingers your own heart
. . .you wield it, and it digs a path you follow
(Annie Dillard, The Writing Life)
Had a little scare on Monday and was in the hospital for most of the day
BUT everything turned out to be just fine, and in fact...
We found out that the umbilical cord is okay! Attached just fine!!!!!
The other night Michael was singing up close to the baby. He said, kick once if you like my singing. And baby kicked twice. Then he said, kick twice if you want me to keep going. And baby kicked once. :)
Purchased first decorative item for baby's room
Enjoyed a trip to Babies R Us with the new Grandparents (Michael's parents) for goodies for baby
Cleaned out closet of clothes that no longer that fit and swapped for maternity clothes
Experiencing some serious pregnancy side effects like waking up with leg cramps. Also found out I have carpal tunnel - that same day I went out and got a wrist brace - CARPAL TUNNEL = TERRIBLE PAIN.
Had one good night of sleep this last week
Baby's room is filling up with stuff (not all of it for him or her, I must admit)
Really anxious to get to the next ultrasound, proud of myself for being patient so far
While gardening on Saturday, my assignment was rock removal on the tractor - think Baby liked the movement!
